Longtime Juneau resident Bruce Edmund Hinke died Oct. 3, 2007, in Juneau. He was 62.

Born Nov. 30, 1944, he was a Juneau resident for 59 years. He attended Juneau-Douglas High School and was a medical corpsman for the U.S. Navy. He worked as a computer technician for the Department of Labor.
He enjoyed hiking local trails and sport-fishing with his family.
He is survived by his son, Shayne Hinke, of Juneau; granddaughter, Veronica Hinke, of Juneau; brother, Keith Hinke, of Juneau; mother, Eleanor Hinke, of Juneau; father, Edmund Hinke, of Port Angeles, Wash.
