Second-half scores lift Wildcats past Cowboys
A pair of second-half touchdowns helped lift the Wildcats past the Cowboys 13-6 on Saturday in a Juneau Youth Football League Cub Division battle.

Manase Maake scored on an 85-yard run and Shane Mielke added a 32-yard touchdown run to pace the Wildcats. Adam Empson added an extra point in the win.
For the Cowboys, Brady Mallinger's 2-yard TD run put his team up 6-0 at the half.
CUB DIVISION
Seahawks 22, Titans 0
The Seahawks stayed unbeaten after blanking the Titans.
Kaleb Tompkins, Dylan Taylor and Moa Maka all had touchdown runs to pace the Seahawks. Charles Paddock and Maka also contributed two-point conversions in the win.
JUNIOR DIVISION
Hawkeyes 14, Tigers 0
The Tigers played the Hawkeyes tough but fell short in a Junior Division game.
Samson Nauer had touchdown runs of 50 and 51 yards in the win. Villiami Tupou added a two-point conversion for the Hawkeyes.
Sitka 40, Huskies 38
Sitka nipped the visiting Huskies in a close one on Saturday.

Hurricanes 35, Cougars 12
The Hurricanes got three touchdown runs from Vinh Le to topple the Cougars.
Le scored on runs of 28, 30 and 50 yards in the win. Wil Jordan Sangster added TD runs of 10 and 15 yards and had a two-point conversion in the victory. Randy Segelhorst also had a two-point run for the Hurricanes.
Luis Garcia and Jerrick Ibias scored for the Cougars.

Sitka stayed in first place following its rout of the Red Raiders.
