Women's programs, Planned Parenthood offer free clinic

SITKA - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium WISEWOMAN and Breast and Cervical Health programs are teaming up with Planned Parenthood of Alaska's Sitka Health Center to offer a free health clinic for women on Saturday. The free clinic is in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, which is a perfect time to start a tradition of prevention.

This event is for busy women ages 18-64 with limited income or no health insurance. The clinic takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Planned Parenthood of Alaska's Sitka Health Center, 514 Lake St.. The women's health exam includes a cardiovascular screening, clinical breast exam, mammogram and Pap test.
