Painting of wetlands shown in New York

An homage to the Mendenhall Wetlands is one of seven paintings by Juneau artist Alan Munro featured in the Monserrat gallery in New York City. Munro opened the show Friday in the SoHo district of New York. All of the paintings are large. Six are about 4 by 4 feet, and the seventh is 2 by 3 feet. Munro attended the opening reception. The painting to the left of the artist is 'Homage to Audubon on the Mendenhall,' and to the right is 'Marsh Encounter.'
