Zyrian Lambe, left, Isaac Christensen, center, and Ryan Hicks work on their FIRST LEGO League course Tuesday at Floyd Dryden Middle School. FIRST LEGO League is an international program for children age 9-14. Children use LEGO materials and work with adult mentors to design, build and program robots to solve real-world challenges such as energy management and conservation. The eight-week course ends in a tournament, to be held Nov. 18 at Centennial Hall, in which the children compete with other schools in different missions using the robot they designed.
