United Way of Southeast Alaska wants to thank to the participants of the fourth annual United Way of Southeast Alaska Day of Caring on Oct. 1. It was the largest one to date with more than 130 people completing 18 projects around town to help 14 area nonprofits, including raising 1,985 pounds of food for the Southeast Alaska Food Bank and Helping Hands.
A huge thank you to Chair Andrea Doll and co-chair Mary Becker; Becky Hildenbrand, Heritage Coffee, Baxter Bruce and Sullivan for the food, and DIPAC for the kickoff location.
