ANCHORAGE - State health officials have placed a second order for swine flu vaccine from the federal government.
Officials on Friday ordered 9,600 doses of injectable vaccine and 4,000 doses of nasal spray vaccine.
The vaccine is expected to arrive in Alaska next week, and will be distributed to hospitals, pediatricians and family doctors statewide.
As additional vaccine arrives in Alaska, officials say it will be more widely distributed.
The state's first order of 4,200 nasal spray vaccine was delivered Monday.
There have been five hospital-reported and lab-confirmed swine flu deaths in Alaska.
