The Juneau-Douglas mixed doubles team of Brian Vandor and Laurel Messerschmidt won the state mixed doubles championship on Saturday in Anchorage after defeating South Anchorage's Eddie Lewis and Karissa Saber 6-2, 6-4. The team of Aaron Cohen and Nathan Graves earned state runner-up after falling 6-2, 6-2 to Lathrop's Drew Lanning and Tyler Loud. Full story in Monday's edition of the Juneau Empire.
