WASILLA - A Wasilla driver trying to elude Alaska State Troopers was tracked by a canine unit and found hiding in a tree.
Troopers say 28-year-old Shanon Lovell early Sunday morning was arrested on charges of felony eluding, reckless driving and driving with a revoked license.
An officer tried to conduct a traffic stop for a moving violation just after 4:30 a.m. and troopers say the driver would not stop and drove recklessly.
Troopers chased the car down Rainbow Park Road to an all-terrain vehicle trail, where the driver fled on foot.
A trooper with a tracking dog tracked the driver to the tree.
Lovell was transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility with bail set at $3,000. The car was impounded.
