Against tax cap

Letters to the editor

I am voting against the tax cap because I think Juneau should decide on its own what its tax policies should be. I do not believe that a statewide initiative driven primarily by Anchorage interests should dictate what we do here. Second, I benefit from local decisions to apply proceeds from bonds and taxes that benefit our schools, families and neighborhoods. These local decisions and benefits would be taken away by the tax cap.
