A tribute to humanity and medicine

Letters to the editor

I want to take a moment to recognize a wonderful person who has been a big part of our lives for the past 10 years. This fellow is very modest and unpretentious. You would never guess he's an angel who has deeply touched thousands of lives in our little town. I'm talking about Tom McCabe. Good ol' white-bearded unassuming Dr. McCabe. At least that's how I describe him.

Our family experience has been that Dr. McCabe has the ability to see the whole picture; how family members interact with each other and the impact medical challenges have not only on the individual, but the family unit. He understands that each human being has limitations and strengths.

Tom McCabe is a friend as well as a physician. He practices humanity as well as medicine. From the bottom of our hearts we thank him for his service, kindness, compassion and knowledge.

Kathleen Soga,

Chelsea Martin
