I would like to know why an employee of the Auke Bay Lab who is in charge of a multi-million dollar budget, who is currently accused of fraud, is still employed at that lab and not even on suspension. That's a violation of public trust at the very least.

CBJ's Parks and Rec director should be careful about telling us that we all should have known about the cost overruns at the ice rink budget. A lot of us haven't forgotten about the cost overruns for the Astroturf yet.
Steve Reed should not blame himself or the Empire for the ice rink reporting. Did any one of Juneau's many news sources get the story right? No, because the city wasn't forthcoming with the information.
