Huskies score four TDs on the ground in win

Sitka Storm and Spartans earn shutout victories in JYFL action last week

The Huskies scored four rushing touchdowns en route to a 28-0 win over the Hawkeyes in the Juneau Youth Football League junior division last weekend.

Matt Vandor had rushing scores of 48 and 20 yards, Devan Neal added an 8-yard touchdown run and Ty McMichael scored on an 81-yard scamper in the win.

Neal added two-point and one-point conversions while McMichael added a one-point score in the win.

Sitka 32, Badgers 0

Phil Abeyta scored twice as the Sitka Storm shutout the Badgers.

Abeyta had a 27-yard touchdown run and returned a kickoff 72 yards to the endzone in the win.

John Abeyta hauled in a 32-yard TD pass from Josh Rowe, Carson Romine scored on a 15-yard run and Rowe added a 21-yard TD run in the win.

Romine added a two-point conversion in the victory.

Spartans 25,

Hawkeyes 0

Leka Maka posted two rushing touchdowns in the Spartans win over the Hawkeyes.

Christian Parker added a 46-yard TD run and Chris Holloway connected with Fabien Munoz on a 6-yard touchdown pass in the win.

Kelepi Maki contributed a one-point run in the win.
