• At 4:48 p.m. Saturday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of an assault in the 3400 block of Meander Way.

• At 10:50 a.m. Sunday, Blaine Michael Scharen, 19, was arrested for assault.


• At 3:29 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a report of a pipe bomb in the 8500 block of Airport Boulevard. An investigation revealed a potato gun had malfunctioned.

• At 11:57 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to an altercation in the 200 block of Front Street.

Domestic violence

• At 3:10 a.m. Sunday, a 34-year-old woman reported a 34-year-old man violated a domestic violence protective order.

Drunken driving

• At 3:27 a.m. Sunday, Rhonda Williams, 35, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Mendenhall Boulevard. She was also charged for driving while her license was suspended and on an outstanding warrant issued for failing to appear. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• At 12:43 a.m. Sunday, an inmate at LCCC threw bodily waste at a correctional officer.

Minor on licensed premises

• At 2:25 a.m. Sunday, Mika Iputi, 18, was arrested for being a minor on a licensed premises in the 200 block of Front Street. He was also charged with providing false information to a police officer. He was taken to LCCC.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 3:21 p.m. Saturday, a 47-year-old woman reported someone struck her parked vehicle in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard. The damage is estimated at $300 to $500.

• At 10:58 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a crash involving a single vehicle.


• At 1:07 p.m. Saturday, a 25-year-old man reported the theft of a handgun from a boat in the 1200 block of Harbor Way.

Warrant arrest

• At 11:02 p.m. Saturday, Derik Wythe, 26, was arrested on Marine Way on an outstanding warrant issued for failure to appear for further proceedings. He was taken to LCCC.
