ANCHORAGE - Kelly Czuy scored twice and Alaska Fairbanks defeated Alaska Anchorage on Saturday 4-0 to gain a split of a two-game series in nonconference collegiate hockey action.
Czuy opened scoring for Alaska Fairbanks (1-1) at 15:47 of the first period.
In the second, the Nanooks' Felipe Larranaga took a drop pass from Blaine Bablitz and scored low to the stick side of goalie Chris King at 11:16. Czuy scored his second goal at 18:16.
Jared Sylvestre scored the final goal at 18:46 of the third period.
Alaska Anchorage had just two power play opportunities.
Preston McKay recorded 22 saves for the Alaska Fairbanks. King stopped 25 shots for the Seawolves (1-1).
In Friday's season opener UAA beat UAF, 4-2.
John Hopson scored two first-period goals for the Seawolves.
