FAIRBANKS - Two Delta Junction men who allegedly donned white sheets, forced an acquaintance into a car and beat him have been charged with kidnapping and assault.

Alfred J. Davis, 19, and Roger Terry Jr., 27, were charged Thursday with the attack on Antonio Littleton. Terry also is charged with fourth-degree theft for stealing the 18-year-old's shoes, according to criminal complaints and trooper accounts.

Davis was arrested at his house Wednesday, but troopers are still looking for Terry, who's considered dangerous because of a history of violence that has escalated in recent months, said Sgt. Brian Wassmann, supervisor of the Delta Junction trooper post.

The two, who are white, are accused of accosting Littleton, who is black, while he slept in a car. According to a criminal complaint, they put a pillowcase over his head, dragged him out of the car and stuffed him into another car while continuously beating him.

Wassmann said Davis and Terry wore white sheets with eye holes cut in them. Littleton recognized their voices, the complaint said. He told troopers he was choked and his assailants repeatedly made racial slurs and threatened to kill him.

A 17-year-old Delta Junction girl also faces charges of kidnapping for driving the car to a secluded area, troopers said.

The girl drove them to a secluded area where Terry and Davis beat Littleton some more before telling him to run into the woods, according to the complaint.

"The kid was left out in the middle of nowhere without shoes," Wassmann said. "A minister found him walking down the road barefoot."

Littleton did not seek medical treatment for his injuries.

Wassmann said troopers first found out about the Aug. 18 attack about a month after it happened. The pair and Littleton are friends and Littleton even lived with Davis for part of the summer, Wassmann said.

Wassmann isn't sure why the two attacked their friend.
