PALMER - The Matanuska Electric Association has voted to offer $50,000 to each of two high-level employees fired this spring.
In April, the co-op's board of directors ordered General Manager Wayne Carmony to fire Information Technology Director Bruce Scott and Assistant General Manager Tuckerman Babcock.
Babcock and Scott sued the co-op, saying they should get severance pay as outlined in their contracts.
The board voted 5-2 last week to offer the settlement.
Carmony, himself, was fired in June.
