Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

* Andrew Swanston, 21, was arrested at 2:45 a.m. Saturday near Egan Drive and Vanderbilt Hill for drunken driving. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts:

* A man reported at 9 a.m. Friday from Mendenhall Loop Road that a flag was stolen from in front of a building.

Assault:

* A man, 54, was arrested at 12:15 a.m.. Saturday on South Franklin Street for criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. He was lodged at the state prison.

Animal encounters:

* Bears were reported at 8:45 p.m. Friday near Jennifer Drive and 9 p.m. near Distin Avenue, and Saturday at 12:10 a.m. near Fourth Avenue.

Other:

* A woman, 43, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. Friday for pulling a false fire alarm at the police station. She was lodged at the state prison.
