The more I listen to the radio the angrier I get with Frank Murkowski.
When I think about Alaska's delegation, I can easily point to the accomplishments of Sen. Stevens (Magnuson-Stevens Act for example), and Rep. Don Young, who improved our state's roads immensely during his tenure as chairman of the House Transportation Committee. Nothing comes to mind when I think of Frank Murkowski.
I have worked for the Legislature in Juneau. Sen. Ted Stevens and Rep. Don Young regularly come to Alaska during the legislative session, and while they are here they meet with both the majority and minority to speak about how we can work for a better future for Alaska. Frank only takes time to speak to his party's faithful.
Today I hear Frank on the radio, saying mean-hearted and untrue things about people who actually live in Alaska and care enough about it to become involved in public service without being paid.
So I respond to you, Frank, in a public forum because you purport to be speaking to me through your ads. I'm a born and bred Alaskan. I don't know what you've done for the past 20 years. I don't see the positive improvements you've brought to the state, all I see is you throwing around negative accusations to cover up your unproductive, empty record.
