ANCHORAGE - An 18-year-old Anchorage man has been charged in the death of a teenager found shot Thursday in the J.C Penney parking garage.
Miguel A. Orellana was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Dustin Lloyd, 18, police said Sunday.
Lloyd's body was found on the seventh floor of the parking lot.
Police said Lloyd was shot during a fight with Orellana over a drug purchase. Orellana shot Lloyd multiple times with a handgun, police said.
Several witnesses fled the scene after the shooting and were later interviewed by police. Officers said they have recovered the murder weapon.
Orellana was booked into the Anchorage jail and held on $500,000 bail.
