Theft:
Police arrested a 48-year-old man on a charge alleging theft at 7 p.m. Sunday near South Franklin Street. The man was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man on a charge alleging theft at 8:22 p.m. Sunday near South Franklin Street. The man was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
A man reported the theft of his gray Nokia cellular telephone at 10:14 a.m. near Mendenhall Mall Road.
Vehicle accidents:
Police cited a 20-year-old man who was driving a Ford truck that allegedly struck a 2001 Pontiac at 2:08 p.m. Sunday on Egan Drive and Highland Drive. The man is accused of failing to yield after a stop. Damage to the Pontiac was estimated at $1,500. Police reported no damage to the Ford.
Hit and run:
At 8:07 a.m. Monday, a man reported his Ford Taurus was struck while parked sometime during the previous night at a Glacier Highway address. No estimate of damage was available.
Vandalism:
At 3:27 p.m. Sunday, a man reported the balcony of an unspecified Glacier Highway building was vandalized. Specifics of the vandalism and an estimated monetary loss from the damage were unknown.
At 4:08 p.m. Sunday, a window was reported broken out of the bus stop at Glacier Highway and Sherwood Lane in the Mendenhall Peninsula area. Damage was estimated at $300.
At 6:49 p.m. Sunday, a window was reported broken out at an unspecified Glacier Highway address. Damage was estimated at $500.
At 11:23 p.m. Sunday, a woman reported that someone had broken a side window out of her 1986 Subaru. No damage estimate was available.
At 7:46 a.m. Monday, a man reported that two windows had been broken out of a Tongass Boulevard address sometime during the weekend. No damage estimate was available.
At 9:07 a.m. Monday, a woman reported that her 1988 Chrysler was vandalized the previous night. Specifics of the vandalism were not available. Damage was estimated at $300.
Found property:
A man reported finding a silver and red bicycle at 10 a.m. Monday near Mendenhall Mall Road.
At 10:10 a.m. Monday, a blue bicycle was reported found in the grass near Central Avenue in the Lemon Creek area.
A black trifold wallet was turned in to police for safekeeping at 11:17 a.m. Monday. It had been found on Mendenhall Loop Road.
At 11:24 a.m., a woman reported finding a pink child's Huffy bicycle at Mendenhall Loop Road at Pipeline Skate Park.
Animal encounters:
A bear was reportedly seen at 7:56 p.m. Sunday near Glacier Highway in the Mendenhall Wetlands area.
Other:
Police arrested a 27-year-old man on charges alleging disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, harassment and criminal damage at 9:17 p.m. Sunday near Hospital Drive. The man was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Police arrested a 22-year old man on charges alleging he hindered prosecution at 3:53 a.m. Monday near Gastineau Avenue.
