Anchorage man sentenced for DUI death

ANCHORAGE - An Anchorage man was sentenced to 7½ years in prison for a drunk-driving crash that killed a visiting Fairbanks man in November 2007.

Trent Knutson pleaded guilty to charges of manslaughter, assault and DUI. He apologized to the family of Timothy Oates at Monday's court hearing, saying he prays to Jesus to give Tim a hug.

Knutson also apologized to Jack Boddy, who was critically injured in the crash.
