Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Thefts:

• A yard light was reported stolen at 11:45 a.m. Monday from the front yard of a residence near Glacier Highway.

• A silver Panasonic cell phone was reported stolen at 3:45 p.m. Monday near South Franklin Street.

Vehicle accidents:

• Police cited a man, 55, for failure to maintain a safe distance following a three-vehicle accident at 6:13 p.m. Monday near inbound Glacier Highway and the McNugget intersection. A blue Ford, driven by the man, struck a red Chevy, driven by a man, 18. The Chevy then struck a green Saturn, driven by a man, 54. The Ford sustained $3,000 in damages, the Saturn sustained no damage and police did not have a damage estimate for the Chevy.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported Monday at 9:25 a.m. near Lee Smith Drive, 9:26 a.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek, 2:50 p.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek, 3:01 p.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek and 11:19 p.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek.
