Shier and Thynes to wed
Elizabeth Janet Thynes of Petersburg and Benjamin Paul Shier of Juneau are to be married at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 27, 2004, at the Lighthouse Assembly of God in Petersburg with a reception in the same place to follow at 7:30 p.m.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Russell and Dana Thynes. She is a graduate of IDEA and in her third year at the University of Alaska Southeast. She is an administrative clerk for Raven Correspondence School.
The groom-elect is the son of Patrick and Joy Shier. He is a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and in his third year at UAS. He is a webmaster for the state of Department of Health and Social Services.
The maid of honor will be the bride's sister, Emily Thynes. And the best man will be the groom's brother, Stephen Shier.
The couple will take a honeymoon cruise in the Caribbean before making their home in Juneau.
