We B Bad sweeps in Sunday bowling

Posted: Wednesday, October 15, 2008

We B Bad continued their domination of the Sunday Mixed Bowling League behind Kim Custer's 246/237/200/683 and Jack Bodine's 215/582 as they swept four games from the second-place Lucky Strikes. Over the past two weeks We B Bad has rose to the occasion, taking seven of eight games as they bowled head-to-head against second-place teams. Vanda (209/210/562) and Loren (258) Randolph tried for Lucky Strikes, but couldn't match We B Bad as they continued to dominate the league.

The girls led the Kit Shickers back into second place taking three games behind the bowling of Luann Powers (all three games over average) and Maureen Danberg and Trina Jones, while the men's side of the team could only muster one game over average between them (in the game that they lost).

Meanwhile, behind the bowling of Suzanne Dutson (110 pins over average), Pete Peterson (222/205/581), Bryon Cogswell (212/225/629), and Gus Gair (226) the Lucky Strikes were able to take four games from Bear Body Works to move into a tie for third place. Bear Body Works continued their tough luck loses as all four games were decided by less than 25 pins and were led by Bob Peterson (265/200/650), Hugh Dilbeck (190), and Donna Dilbeck (173).

Elsewhere: Lynda Savant bowled a lifetime high 134 game and teammate Wayne Boyd added a 203 (his first deuce in several years) to lead Bee Plus to their first four game sweep of the season. The Lebowski's took three games from Lightening Strikes as Virginia Patch (212/553), Ashley Saupe, and David Rolf each bowled all three games over average. Lightening Strikes was led by Andy McLaurin who bowled all three games over average.
