Former Juneau resident Nina Beverly Rodewald died Oct. 7, 2009. She was 77.
She was born Sept. 30, 1932, in Tucumcari, N.M., to John and Carrie Robberson. She married James T. Rodewald Oct. 9, 1948 in Tucumcari. They lived in Juneau for 45 years, returning to Lubbock, Texas, in 2007.
During her employment career, she was involved in health care and was an account administrator for IBM. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Baptist Church. She was an avid square dancer and enjoyed world travel during her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, James Rodewald; daughters, Karen Elizabeth Lamb and husband, Steve, and Patricia Lee Roop and husband, Gordon; sons, James Alan Rodewald and wife, Reneé, and John Theodore Rodewald; five grandchildren, Robert Charles Rouse Jr., Octavia Desiree Rouse, Rejni Kimberly Welch, Rajiv Wesley Chopra and Frank J. Sutton; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor Russell Koch, Charles Tanner Koch and Zadin Nicholas Miller.
The family received friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sanders Funeral Home in Lubbock.
Services were held Wednesday at the Neil Chapel at Carillon Senior LifeCare Community, Lubbock. Burial followed in the Logan Cemetery in Logan, N.M. Arrangements were made under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
