BETHEL - A final tally of questioned ballots in Bethel shows the proposition to loosen liquor laws is passing.
After a 32-year ban on liquor sales, the vote from the Oct. 6 election means there won't be any monthly limit on the amount of alcohol residents can order.
The Anchorage Daily News reports the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Board has already heard from people interested in getting licenses.
The city is eligible for two liquor stores, two bars and four restaurant liquor licenses.
