JUNEAU - A political action committee says it will contact contributors to U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski's re-election campaign to see if they want to get their money back.
The Club for Growth PAC says it intends to contact more than 1,500 Murkowski donors, with one letter explaining Murkowski's broken pledge to support the Republican nominee and another letter that will be addressed to Murkowski's campaign and can be used by donors to request a refund.
President Chris Chocola calls Murkowski "opportunistic," and says she's running her write-in campaign with "dishonestly gained funds."
Murkowski lost the GOP primary to Joe Miller. Her campaign had no immediate comment.
