Flags to be lowered for firefighter

ANCHORAGE - Alaska state flags will be lowered to half-staff in honor of Anchorage firefighter Andy Mullen, whose cancer death was linked to his work.

Gov. Sean Parnell ordered flags lowered on Friday, when Mullen's memorial service is scheduled.

Flags will be raised Saturday morning.

Mullen died Monday at age 45. He is survived by a wife and three daughters.
