Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• Police arrested a man, 33, for domestic violence assault at 8:53 p.m. Tuesday in the Lemon Creek area. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• Two CDs, a Leatherman tool, gloves, a hat and loose change were reported stolen at 7:37 a.m. Tuesday from an unlocked vehicle on Gail Avenue.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• A flat tire on a Chevrolet Celebrity was reported at 8:44 a.m. Tuesday from Glacier Highway. A screw was stuck into the tire sometime over the weekend.

• A Toyota truck was reported damaged at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday near Glacier Highway. The truck was keyed on its left side and a mirror was broken sometime between 6 and 8:30 p.m. Monday. Damage estimates were not known.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported Tuesday at 10:12 p.m. near Marine Way and the Alaska Steamship Dock and today at 12:07 a.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek.

Domestic violence calls: 1.

Crime Line

Juneau Crime Line Inc. is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or people responsible for two guns stolen during a home burglary in August. The guns include a Smith & Wesson handgun with black Pachmayer grips and a blue finish. It is model 29,44 MAG. The other gun stolen also was a Smith & Wesson handgun with ebony and ivory grips, a blued finish and a handmade diamond inlay. The model is 27, 357 MAG.
