Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested 23-year-old William Pittman on a charge of drunken driving at 4 a.m. Friday in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road. Police lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.

Domestic violence:

• Police arrested a 33-year-old woman on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 8:12 p.m. Thursday in the 2800 block of Postal Way in the Mendenhall Valley. They lodged her at the state prison.

• Police arrested a 33-year-old man on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 2:26 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of South Franklin Street downtown. They lodged him in the state prison.

• Police arrested a 49-year-old man on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 11:59 p.m. in the 1100 block of West Ninth Street. They lodged him in the state prison.

• Police arrested a 49-year-old man on a charge of violating conditions of release on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 10:43 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of West Ninth Street. They lodged him in the state prison.

Assault:

• Police arrested a 37-year-old woman at 12:52 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of South Franklin Street. They lodged her at the state prison.

• Police arrested a 25-year-old man at 2:46 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Front Street downtown. They lodged him in the state prison.

Theft:

• At 12:14 p.m. Thursday, a woman reported that a checkbook was stolen in April in the 9000 block of Cinema Drive, and two checks totaling $44.98 were written on the account.

• At 4:22 p.m. Thursday, a woman reported that a cellular telephone was stolen in April 2004 from her vehicle in the 100 block of Marine Way downtown.

• At 6:26 p.m. Friday, a man reported a blue bicycle valued at $200 and a yellow weed eater valued at $100 were taken from his unlocked garage.

Vandalism:

• At 12:04 p.m. Thursday, a rock was reported thrown through the windshield of a 2002 Jeep Liberty parked in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard in the valley.

• At 3:38 p.m. Friday, it was reported that the rear passenger window was smashed out of a vehicle sometime overnight in the 2700 block of Douglas Highway.

• At 7:08 p.m. Friday, a rock was reported thrown through the window of an apartment in the 1700 block of Douglas Highway.

• At 2:56 a.m. Saturday, glue of some type was reported spilled on a floor in the 1600 block of Glacier Avenue downtown.

Vehicle accident:

• Police cited a 28-year-old man on a charge of following too closely in traffic after an accident at 4 p.m. Friday on inbound Egan Drive at Glacier Highway in the Jordan Creek area. He was driving a 1995 Jeep Cherokee that reportedly struck a 1998 Chevrolet, driven by a 23-year-old woman.

• At 4:22 Friday, it was reported that a truck driven by a 51-year-old man struck a car driven by a 26-year-old woman on Franklin Street. Total damage was estimated at $800.

• At 9:57 p.m. Friday, a 21-year-old woman reported that she hit a bear on Glacier Spur Road in the valley when it ran in front of her car. No damage was reported.

Hit and run:

• At 12:25 p.m. Friday a 49-year-old man reported that his 2004 Ford truck was struck by an unknown vehicle within the last week. Damage is estimated at $800.

• At 1:15 p.m. Friday a 23-year-old woman reported that her 2000 Pontiac Grand Am was struck by an unknown vehicle in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway. Damage is estimated at $500.

• At 3:51 p.m. Friday a 54-year-old man reported his vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle. Damage is estimated at $2,000.

Traffic stop:

• At 11:36 a.m. Saturday, police cited a man driving without a valid license in the 5600 block of North Douglas Highway. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported eating garbage on Gastineau Avenue at 1:36 p.m. Friday. A bear was reported eating garbage on the 6500 block of Glacier Highway at 3:07 a.m. Saturday.
