FAIRBANKS - A Fairbanks man involved in a mail theft ring has been sentenced to four years in prison.
The 26-year-old, Jeremiah Kinnish, pleaded guilty to forgery in a deal with prosecutors and was sentenced Wednesday in superior court.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports he is one of eight people who have been charged in the mail theft ring. Police had more than 700 reports last year of theft or tampering in outlying areas of Fairbanks.
The man who ran the ring, Joshua Vos, is serving an eight-year sentence.
