Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Thefts:

A woman reported at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday near West Willoughby Avenue that her black leather purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle.

A man reported at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday near Harris Harbor that his Suzuki outboard motor was stolen from his boat Oct. 12.

Police responded to a woman at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday near Juneau-Douglas High School who said her purse was stolen between 2:30 and 3:15 p.m.

Hit-and-run incidents:

A woman reported at 9:39 a.m. Tuesday near Glacier Highway that her red Chevy truck was damaged in a hit-and-run while parked in a lot between 8:15 and 9 a.m.

Animal encounters:

Bears were reported Tuesday at 11:16 p.m. near West Willoughby Avenue and Capital Avenue and 11:42 p.m. near the Fiddlehead Restaurant.

Other:

A man, 41, was arrested on a charge of interfering with a police investigation and resisting arrest 3:10 p.m. Tuesday at Harris Harbor.

Crime Line:

Juneau Crime Line Inc. is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or people responsible for the murder of Daniel Brux. In May 2000 he was found beaten to death in his room at the Gastineau Apartments.
