Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Alaska State Troopers are investigating allegations of a misdemeanor assault at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. In the incident, a 35-year-old woman allegedly kicked a 53-year-old woman in the ribs. Both women are awaiting trial after Juneau grand juries indicted them on felony charges.
Police arrested a 50-year-old man on charges alleging he violated conditions of a protective order at 8:14 a.m. Thursday near Wickersham Avenue. Police lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
A man reported his blue Nokia cellular telephone was stolen from his vehicle at 10:52 a.m. Thursday near Glacier Avenue. The telephone was valued at $219.
A man reported three pool cues stolen at 11:43 a.m. Thursday in downtown Juneau. The total value of the pool cues was estimated at $1,000.
Police arrested Manuel Flores, 57, on a charge alleging felony drunken driving at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday near Postal Way. They took Flores to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.
Police arrested Kevin Schimanski, 46, on charges alleging misdemeanor drunken driving and reckless endangerment at 8:49 p.m. Wednesday on Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area. They took Schimanski to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.
Police arrested Charles Wikstrom, 58, on charges alleging misdemeanor drunken driving after a reported hit-and-run accident at 9:47 p.m. Wednesday on West Seventh Street. A 1994 Ford Ranger allegedly struck a parked 1996 Dodge. Police later stopped Wikstrom in a Ford Ranger. Charges included leaving the scene of an accident. Police took Wikstrom to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the Ford he was driving.
Hit and run:
A woman reported at 10:07 a.m. Thursday a Dodge Spirit hit her 1991 Subaru Legacy, damaging the front quarter panel, on Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area.
Police cited a 51-year-old man, alleging he was driving without a license at 1:58 p.m. Wednesday on Postal Way. They released him but impounded the vehicle he was driving.
Police cited a 17-year-old girl on a charge alleging underage drinking at 3:33 a.m. Thursday near Trout Street. Police took the girl to her residence.
Police arrested a 26-year-old man on charges alleging disorderly conduct and criminal trespass at 3:12 a.m. near St. Ann's Avenue in Douglas. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Police received a report at 9:52 p.m. Wednesday of a large black bear on the porch of a Mendenhall Loop Road residence.
Capital City Fire and Rescue crews put out a burning 1989 Dodge Colt at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday near Airport Boulevard. The car was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. They reported the blaze appeared as if it had been intentionally set. The fire marshal reportedly was investigating the incident.
