This is in response to Ms. Parsons' comment in her message (Empire letters to the editor, Oct. 7): "I wonder if the car that killed the woman at the Cordova intersection recently had its lights on? If it had, would the woman be dead now?"
What an awful comment. Do you realize that little imaginary comments like that can affect the persons involved immensely? You weren't there; you don't know what happened; assumptions should be kept to yourself. Yes, the lights were on. It was an unfortunate accident.
