Juneau Dance Unlimited would like to thank the community for attending our open house on Oct. 6 at the new dance studio. It was a memorable event and a wonderful celebration of our new home.
We would also like to thank several Juneau businesses for their support of this event through donations of food and door prizes: Lather Hair Studio, Pavitt Health and Fitness, Vintage Fare Café, Hearthside Books and Toys, Grandma's Feather Bed, Super Bear Supermarket, Safeway Food and Drug, Costco and Breeze In. We appreciate your generosity.
A special thanks also to JDU board members Troy Wilson, Gail Ford, Jeff Duvernay, Harriet Culver, Brad Hall and Michaela Moore for their leadership in making our new dance studio and this open house celebration a reality.
Finally, a big thanks to our Artistic Director Janice Hurley for her continued commitment to JDU our continued role in Juneau's performing arts. We look forward to seeing everyone at our Nutcracker 2007 performance Dec. 7-9 in the Juneau-Douglas High School auditorium.

Thanks for a wonderful flower display this year
For me, the end of summer is marked by the day the city grounds crew digs up the flowers along the median on Egan Drive and turns over the soil to wait for next spring. I want to thank them for an especially wonderful flower display this year. I believe you all outdid yourselves. Thank you.
Thanks for helping our volleyball tourney
The 16th annual Juneau Invitational Volleyball Extravaganza tournament was a great success. Twelve teams from schools in Alaska participated. Congratulations to the tournament champions, Cordova.
A special thank you to Mike Young for making the delicious spaghetti sauce for the luncheon. Thank you to Super Bear, Fred Meyer, Safeway and Costco for their luncheon donations. More than 130 players, coaches and officials enjoyed the meal. Thanks to the officials and parents who volunteered to make the weekend a success.
Thank you all for your help and we hope you will participate in next year's Extravaganza.
