Family of Mark Reese to hold dinner with Oktoberfest theme
JUNEAU - There will be an Oktoberfest-themed dinner to benefit the family of Mark Reese, who was seriously injured in a fall in Ketchikan on Aug. 1, from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Juneau Yacht Club.
Dinner includes brats, kraut and German potato salad. There will be a cash bar, silent and live auctions, and free a shuttle from the Mendenhall Mall and Grant's Plaza. Cost is a $10 donation, which includes dinner.
Reese and his family are in Seattle while he recovers from multiple injuries. It will be a long healing and rehabilitative process. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to help the Reese family meet their monthly expenses, the cost of their temporary move to Seattle and those medical and rehabilitative costs not covered by insurance.
