JUNEAU - A former Republican gubernatorial candidate is pledging to work with Democrat Ethan Berkowitz if Berkowitz is elected next month.
Bill Walker says he'll take Berkowitz up on his offer to head-up a team advancing an all-Alaska natural gas pipeline.
Walker, who finished second in the GOP primary to Gov. Sean Parnell, focused on a need to build an all-Alaska line. Walker said such a proposal with an export option provided the best shot at getting a line built and for providing a market for Alaska gas.
Berkowitz had written Walker, telling him the two shared a sense of urgency for advancing a line, and a vision for developing one on "Alaska's terms."
