Varni, Funk married July 1

Pam Varni and Bob Funk, both of Juneau, were married in a ceremony July 1 aboard the St. Phillip Catamaran in Auke Bay.

The bride is the daughter of Roy and Pat Varni of Port Angeles, Wash. She works for the Alaska State Legislature.

The groom is the son of Jim and Helen Funk of Friday Harbor, Wash. He is employed by Alcan Electric.

The couple will honeymoon in Hawaii and make their home in Juneau.


Gonzales, Chapman to wed

Lynn Gonzales and Donny Chapman, both of Juneau, will be married in a ceremony planned for 5 p.m. Oct. 21 at Northern Light United Church. A reception will follow at The Penthouse.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Joseph and Mynita Gonzales. She is self-employed as a daycare provider. The groom-elect is the son of Ron and Pamela Chapman. He is employed as a truck driver for Glacier Marine.

The matron of honor will be Monique Imboden. Bridesmaid will be Jennifer Brown. Flower girls will be Antonette Fawcett and Andrea Fawcett, the bride's daughters. The best man will be Adam Martin. Groomsman will be Rollie Martin, and the ringbearer will be Darion Chapman, the couple's son.

The couple will make their home in Juneau.
