Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

• Wesley Lee Harris, 31, was arrested about 1 a.m. today on Glacier Highway near the Brotherhood Bridge for drunken driving. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• Michael Richards Forrest, 40, was arrested about 2:15 a.m. today near the intersection of Egan and 10th Street for drunken driving. He was lodged at the state prison.

Thefts:

• Police received a report about 6 p.m. Thursday from F Street that a man's gray mountain bike was stolen in the past few days. The value was estimated at $125.

• A man, 31, reported at 4 a.m. today from Front Street that his red and black Columbia jacket was stolen. He estimated the value at $125.

• A man, 36, reported at 10 a.m. Thursday from Glacier Highway that his wallet was stolen from his truck Oct. 6.

• A woman, 51, reported about 2 p.m. Thursday that medication was stolen from her residence on Thunder Mountain Road on Oct. 14.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• Police received a report about 3:45 p.m. Thursday that someone poured gas on a bench in the field at Adair-Kennedy Park and lit it on fire. Damage was estimated at $100.

Disorderly conduct:

• A man, 46, was arrested about 1 p.m. Thursday near Franklin and Front Streets downtown for disorderly conduct. He was lodged at the state prison. Alcohol was involved.

Found property:

• A black Magma bicycle, a Motorola pager and a portable CD player and video game were found by citizens and turned in to Juneau police Thursday. Police are holding the items for safekeeping pending contact by the owners.

Animal encounters:

• Two bears were reported about 9 p.m. Thursday in a wooded area near Thunder Mountain Trailer Court. Over the next 45 minutes, four related calls came in from that area at the end of Delta Drive, some citing a mother bear with two spring cubs and two reporting the bears were attempting to get into trash enclosures.

• A male caller reported about 10:30 p.m. Thursday that he struck a small black bear with his car on the North Douglas Highway. He reported that he did not believe the bear was hurt and there was no damage to his car.
