SITKA - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium is pleased to announce that Benjamin Warren has joined the dental provider staff at the SEARHC Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital Dental Clinic in Sitka.
Warren earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in Lexington in 2007, and he completed a general practice residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. While at the University of Kentucky, Warren earned a Dean's Scholarship and the Dan Seaver Scholarship for students who not only thrive in the classroom but excel outside the classroom through volunteer work and community involvement.
He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton College in Northfield, Minn., and a Master of Business Administration degree from Marshall University in Huntington, W.V. Since his graduation from dental school and residency, Warren has worked short stints as a dentist in Kodiak, Alaska, and Kathmandu, Nepal.
"After he finished his residency, SEARHC was excited to hire Warren as a dentist in Sitka," said Dr. Tom Bornstein, DDS, SEARHC Director of Dental Services. "We are very happy to have Warren join our staff."
Warren's medical interests include oral medicine, dental genetic abnormalities and implantology.
"I enjoy travel, cooking, music and outdoor activities like kayaking, running and biking," Warren said. "One of the things that attracted me to SEARHC is the laid-back atmosphere."
