Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Thefts:
A man reported at 7:33 a.m. Thursday near Riverside Drive that his black wallet was stolen from his unlocked car while parked at a business.
Police responded to a report at 10:24 a.m. Thursday near Cascade Street from a man who said a portable CD player, two CD holders, and 160 CDs were stolen.
Vehicle accidents:
A man, 45, was cited for failure to yield on a left turn following a two-vehicle accident at 8:50 p.m. Thursday near Mendenhall Loop Road and Haloff Way. The man, driving a Ford Taurus, turned in front of Dodge pickup truck driven by a man, 18. Three girls, all age 11, were taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital where they were later released in good condition.
The Ford sustained $20,000 in damage, the Dodge sustained $2,500 in damage and both were towed.
Hit-and-run incidents:
Police responded to a report at 1:42 p.m. Thursday near West Ninth Street of a 1989 Ford van hit Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 4: 30 p.m. The vehicle sustained a dent to the driver's side door. There are no leads and no suspects.
Animal encounters:
Bears were reported Thursday at 9:35 p.m. near Gold Creek, today at 12:56 a.m. near Willoughby Avenue and at 1:56 a.m. near Glacier Highway.
