Judgments
Yvonne K. Howard, 44, was indicted by a grand jury for felony theft and felony misconduct involving a controlled substance which was methadone stemming from an incident of Sept. 15 in Haines.
Trevor B. Prather, 19, was indicted by a grand jury for felony theft stemming from an offense of Sept. 13.
Paul L. Sheets, 37, was indicted by a grand jury for felony burglary and felony theft stemming from an offense of Sept. 4.
David D. Stringer, 35, was indicted for felony failure to appear in court stemming from an offense of Aug. 31.
Deborah L. Cantrell, 49, was found not guilty by a Juneau jury of assault and disorderly conduct stemming from incidents of July 23.
Robin Abbott, 36, was found guilty of misdemeanor assault stemming from an offense of Jan. 23. The original charge was felony assault. Judge Patricia Collins suspended her $3,000 fine; sentenced her to 180 days in jail with 160 suspended; revoked her driver's license for three years; ordered JASAP; and placed her on probation for 18 months provided she commits no crimes, complies with the sentence, completes JASAP and pays $1,000 for the cost of incarceration.
Abbott was also found guilty of drunken driving stemming from an offense of Jan. 23. Collins suspended the $1,000 fine; sentenced her to 120 days in jail with 60 days suspended; JASAP; and placed her on probation for 18 months.
The state dismissed the charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license stemming from an incident of Jan. 23.
Allen L. Reynolds, 28, was found guilty of misdemeanor criminal mischief stemming from an offense of Jan. 22, 2000. The original charge was misdemeanor assault. Judge Peter B. Froehlich fined him $1,000 with $500 suspended; sentenced him to 90 days in jail with 85 days suspended; JASAP; and placed him on probation for two years provided he commits no crimes, complies with his sentence, completes JASAP, enroll in an anger management program, and have no contact with the victim.
He was also found guilty of two counts of probation violation stemming from offenses of Aug. 16. Froehlich sentenced him to a total of 150 days in jail with 150 days suspended; and he was placed on probation for a total of three years provided he commits no crimes and complies with his sentence.
Erik P. Holmes, 22, was found guilty of assault--recklessly causing injury stemming from an offense of July 19. Froehlich sentenced him to 30 days in jail with 20 days suspended; JASAP; and placed him on probation for one year provided he complies with his sentence, commits no crimes, completes JASAP, pay a $50 surcharge and pays $371 for incarceration.
The state dismissed a charge of entering a restricted area and criminal trespass stemming from incidents of July 19.
Daniel McClinton, 37, was found guilty of domestic violence assault stemming from an offense of Dec. 22, 2000. Froehlich sentenced him to 100 days in jail with 80 days suspended; fined him $1,000 with $800 suspended; and placed him on probation for three years provided he commits no crimes, complies with his sentence, completes an anger management program, and pays an undisclosed incarceration fee.
He was also found guilty of assault--recklessly causing injury stemming from an offense of June 26. Froehlich fined him $1,000 with $800 suspended; sentenced him to 120 days with 100 days suspended; and placed him on probation for three years.
The state dismissed a charge of violating a domestic violence protection order stemming from an incident of March 9.
John B. Lesley, 43, was found guilty of assault recklessly causing injury stemming from an offense of July 16. The original charge was domestic violence assault. Froehlich fined him $500 with $400 suspended; sentenced him to 50 days in jail with 40 days suspended; JASAP; and placed him on probation for two years provided he commits no crimes, complies with his sentence, completes JASAP, attends an anger management program and does not use alcohol or go where it is served or sold.
Jamie P. Daniels, 28, was found guilty of disorderly conduct stemming from an offense of Sept. 21. The original charge was assault. Froehlich set a sentence of 30 days in jail and a $50 surcharge.
Douglas D. Green, 40, was found guilty of drunken driving stemming from an offense of Aug. 23. Froehlich fined him $500 with $250 suspended; sentenced him to 33 days in jail with 30 days suspended; JASAP; and placed him on probation for one year provided he commits no crimes, complies with the sentence, completes JASAP, and pays a $159 incarceration fee.
Yvonne J. Harris, 20, was found guilty of disorderly conduct stemming from an offense of Aug. 8. The original charge was assault. Magistrate John W. Sivertsen suspended imposition of sentence for one year during which Harris is on probation provided she commits no crimes and completes an anger management program.
Raymond L. Hurley, 52, was found guilty of drunken driving stemming from an offense of Aug. 27. Sivertsen fines him $1,000 with $750 suspended; sentenced him to 46 days in jail with 40 days suspended; revoked his license for 90 days; JASAP; and placed him on probation for two years provided he commits no crimes, complies with the senescence, completes JASAP, and pays a $112 incarceration fee.
Roger Sheakley, 48, was found guilty of drunken driving stemming from an offense of Aug. 14. Froehlich fined him $2,500 with $500 suspended; sentenced him to 300 days with 15 days suspended; revoked his license for five years; JASAP and naltrexone treatment if recommended; and placed him on probation for three years provided he commits no crimes, complies with the sentence, completes JASAP, does not consume alcohol or go where it is served or sold, and pays an incarceration fee of $1,000.
The state dismissed the charge of driving without a valid driver's license stemming from an offense of Aug. 14.
Janet J. Joseph, 24, was found guilty of drunken driving stemming from an offense of Oct. 5. Froehlich fined her $500 with $250 suspended; sentenced him to 35 days in jail with 30 days suspended; revoked her license for 90 days; JASAP; and placed her on probation for two years provided she commits no crimes, complies with the sentence, completes JASAP, and pays a $270 incarceration fee.
She was also found guilty of driving with a suspended or revoked license stemming from an offense of Oct. 5. Froehlich fined her $500 with $250 suspended; sentenced her to 30 days with 20 days suspended; JASAP; and two years probation.
The state dismissed a charge of refusing to submit to a breath test stemming from an incident of Oct. 5.
Richard B. Bean, 54, was found guilty of misdemeanor misconduct with a controlled substance stemming from an offense of May 6. Judge Larry Weeks fined him $50; sentenced him to 120 days in jail with 90 suspended; JASAP; and placed him on probation for one year provided he commits no crimes, compliewith his sentence, completes JASAP forfeits his weapons, and forfeits and paraphernalia and contraband.
The state dismissed a felony charge of misconduct involving a controlled substance stemming from an incident of June 23.
Rene Matthews, 38, was found guilty of drunken driving stemming from an offense of Aug. 19. Sivertsen set a fine of $500 with $250 suspended; set sentence at 50 days in jail with 40 days in jail; revoked Matthews driver's license for 90 days; JASAP; and set probation at one year provided Matthews cp,plies with the sentence, commits no crimes and completes JASAP.
Matthews was also found guilty of not having a valid operators license stemming from an offense of Aug. 20. Sivertsen set sentence at five days with five days suspended and placed Matthews on probation for one year.
The state dismissed the charge of permitting an unauthorized person to drive a vehicle stemming from an incident of July 6.
Frank J. Kriletich, 40, was found guilty of drunken driving stemming from an offense of Sept. 27. Sivertsen fined him $500 with $250 suspended; sentenced him to 33 days in jail with 30 days suspended; revoked his license for 90 days ; JASAP; and placed him on probation for one year.
The state dismissed a charge of misconduct involving a controlled substance stemming from an incident of Sept. 27.
Jaymee L. Abear, 40, was found guilty of drunken driving stemming from an offense of May 14. Froehlich fined him $1,500 with $1,000 suspended; sentenced him to 125 days with 100 days suspended; revoked his license for one year; JASAP; and placed him on probation for two years provided he complies with his sentence, completes JASAP, commits no crimes and pays a $1,000 incarceration fee.
He was also found guilty of driving with a canceled, suspended or revoked license stemming from an offense of May 14. Froehlich imposed a sentence of 10 days in jail and revoked his license for 90 days.
Abear was also found guilty of violating the conditions of his parole stemming from an offense of May 22. Froehlich sentenced him to 20 days in jail.
Bridget E. Landers, 33, was found guilty of domestic violence criminal mischief stemming from an offense of July 4. Sivertsen fined her $1,000 with $900 suspended; sentenced to 120 days in jail with 110 days suspended; and placed her on probation for two years provided she commits no crimes, complies with the sentence, completes a treatment program and pays the cost of incarceration.
