Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested David Fadaoff, 45, on a drunken-driving charge at 3:35 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Douglas Highway. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.

Domestic disputes:

• Police arrested a man, 34, on charges of assault and criminal mischief, both related to domestic violence, at 9:33 p.m. in the Lemon Creek area. The lodged him at the state prison.

• Police arrested a man, 39, of Eagle River, on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 11:20 p.m. in the Mendenhall Valley. They lodged him at the state prison.


• A wooden black bear figure, valued at $100, was reported stolen at 2:26 p.m. Sunday from the front of a residence in the 3200 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.

• At 8:10 am. Monday, a car stereo was reported stolen out of an unlocked Volkswagen Jetta overnight in the 9200 block of James Boulevard in the Valley.


• At 1:06 p.m. Sunday, the back window of a white van was reported broken out sometime overnight in the 1700 block of Glacier Avenue.

• Tires were ported slashed on the passenger side of a pickup and boat trailer at 3:47 p.m. Sunday on Savikko Road in the Douglas area. It had been parked at the location since Sept. 30. The pickup also was scratched with a key, and an electrical line was cut. Damage was estimated at $1,500.

• At 7:45 p.m. Sunday, a woman reported vandalism to a trailer padlock BB shots fired through the trailer's windows in the 5900 block of Churchill Way in the Lemon Creek area. The trailer appeared to have been entered, but no property was reported missing.

Vehicle accidents:

• Police cited a woman, 19, on a charge of failing to maintain a safe distance in traffic after an accident at 8:52 p.m. Sunday in the 9300 block of Glacier Highway near the airport. The woman was driving a 1992 Ford Explorer that stuck a white 1995 Jeep Wrangler, operated by a boy, 16. Damage to the Jeep was estimated at $5,000. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $4,000.

• At 12:02 a.m. Monday, a man, 42, reported that the 1993 Range Rover he was driving struck and killed a dog in the 5000 block of North Douglas Highway. Damage to the car was estimated at $1,000.

Traffic stops:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 5:42 p.m. Sunday at Engineers Cutoff Road after citing the driver, a woman, 41, on a charge of driving without a valid license.

• Police impounded a vehicle at 9:55 a.m. Monday in the 9900 block of Glacier Highway, after citing the driver, a man, 43, on a charge of driving without a valid license.

Animal encounters:

• At 9:05 a.m. Monday, police took a report of a female bear and cub gaining access to a garage into the 1700 block of Lena Road and getting into a chest freezer. The bears reportedly lifted the freezer's large overhead door. A sow and two cubs also were reportedly seen at 1:09 a.m. Monday in the 2200 block of Crow Hill Drive in the Douglas area.
