The northbound lane on the Knik River Bridge, 35 miles north of Anchorage, is jammed from rail to rail with vehicles Sunday after a multi-car collision. Weather, combined with vehicles travelling too fast, caused the accident, investigators said. The bridge, notorious as a site for frequent freezing fog, has been the scene of similar accidents in the past.
