Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• Two video game consoles were reported stolen at 4:09 p.m. Monday in the 4200 block of Mendenhall Boulevard.

• A purse was reported stolen at 8:37 p.m. Monday from an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of 11th Street downtown.

• A mountain bike was reported stolen at 10:35 p.m. Monday from the 200 block of South Franklin Street downtown.

• A 15-speed mountain bike was reported stolen at 8:47 a.m. Tuesday in the 3800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.

• A 24-speed mountain bike and a road bike were reported stolen at 8:58 a.m. Tuesday in the 9500 block of Glacier Highway.


• Police cited an 18-year-old man on a charge of concealing merchandise at 5:13 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of West Willoughby Avenue downtown.

Vehicle accident:

• Police cited a 25-year-old man on a charge of unsafe backing after an accident at 5:34 p.m. Monday at Mendenhall Loop Road and Nancy Street in which the 2003 Honda Civic he was driving backed into a 2000 Dodge pickup at a stop sign. The Dodge was driven by a 49-year-old man. Total damage was estimated at $4,000.

Traffic stop:

• Police impounded a moped at 1:54 p.m. Monday at Riverside Drive and Stephen Richards Memorial Drive in the Mendenhall Valley after citing the 58-year-old man riding it on a charge of driving without a license.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday getting into trash in the 5900 block of Churchill Way in the Lemon Creek area.
