Program description: Northern Lights Juneau Theatre presents theater opportunities for third-graders to adults.

Volunteer positions available: Northern Lights Junior Theatre is looking for people to direct one or more short plays or to teach classes in basic acting and stage presence skills. Enjoyment of helping youth is essential, but directing experience is not required. Some background in performance would be helpful, but we can mentor you with that if needed.

Many parents, teachers, coaches, etc., already possess the skills needed to motivate groups of kids. Juneau's young actors need some folks to step up to the plate as we bid farewell to founder/artistic director J. Althea in her relocation to work among California's children. We like to present a variety of performances throughout the year such as one-act plays, readers theater, selected scenes from various plays, Broadway musicals and Summer Academy. E-mail for more information.
