FAIRBANKS - A 29-year-old North Pole man arrested after a four-hour standoff with police at a Fairbanks home faces five additional charges.

Robert Tyrone Gentleman III was taken into custody Oct. 9 after evading authorities for two months after allegedly pointing a gun at a police office.

His new charges stem from incidents that occurred while he was on the lam.

Police said Gentleman assaulted a woman after crashing his girlfriend's car Sept. 22.

He has been charged with robbery, assault, driving with a suspended license, failure to provide notice of an accident and reckless driving in connection with the incident.

That was two days after Gentleman allegedly evaded Alaska State Troopers following a brief pursuit on the Richardson Highway. Several bags of drugs were found in the abandoned vehicle following that incident.
