ANCHORAGE - A 28-year-old Wasilla man was sentenced to almost five years in prison Thursday in a federal drug case.
Damian Allen Nichols was sentenced in federal court for being a felon in possession of firearms and distributing cocaine and heroin. Nichols previously pleaded guilty to the charges.
According to prosecutors, law enforcement officers seized weapons in July 2007 from Nichols, a two-time felon at the time.
Prosecutors said an undercover informant bought cocaine and heroin from Nichols three times last December.
They said a subsequent search of Nichols' home turned up drug packaging materials and more guns.
