Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• At 10:30 a.m. Friday near Thane Road a man reported a break-in to a house being used for storage. Graffiti was painted on the walls.

• At noon Friday near Third Street in Douglas a woman reported that her rear car tire had been slashed.

Vehicle accidents:

• A woman, 21, was cited for negligent driving after a two-vehicle accident at 12:30 a.m. Saturday near Egan Drive and Vanderbilt Hill Road. Witnesses said the woman, driving a 1998 Plymouth Breeze, ran a red light and her vehicle struck the side of a 1990 Subaru, driven by a boy, 17, outbound on Egan. A 16-year-old female passenger in the Subaru was treated at Bartlett Regional Hospital for minor injuries, held for observation due to a head wound and released. The vehicles were totaled.

Hit-and-run incidents:

• At 11:10 a.m. Friday near Front Street a man reported that his parked vehicle was struck.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported Friday at 8 p.m. near Patti Avenue and 10:15 p.m. near Churchill Way.
